We are still working out the details for Spring of 2022, but we are expecting the Aloha 5K to be IN PERSON. Below are the details from 2019 – we’ll update this as we know what to expect for 2022! We are so excited to see you all and raise some much needed funds for Santee School District! If you want to join our committee (we would love to have some RUNNERS on there or be a volunteer – call/text Karen at 619-249-8448.

Break out the Hawaiian shirts and the grass skirts and join us for the Annual Santee Aloha 5K Fun Run & Walk in Town Center Community Park in Santee. All ages and fitness levels welcome, bring the whole family!

Finisher medals for the first 500 finishers and performance-style runners material t-shirt for all registrants.
As in previous years: medals for best male and female runner overall, and top 3 in each age group, male and female.

Children 0-4 are free and do not need to be registered. If you register your 0-4 year old, you will pay which will get them a race t-shirt. Race Bibs and Finisher Medals will not be awarded to children 0-4. Children & Youth – when you enter the date of birth for the registrant – it will automatically give you the lower price. You will see a SPECIAL PRICING button – that’s where it tells you that the price is not the adult price listed on the site – but the lower age 5-17 or 0-4 price, which will show at checkout.

Proceeds raised by the Santee School District Foundation from this event will directly benefit the students of Santee School District, supporting programs in the Arts, Technology, and Science.  Participants will start and finish at Town Center Community Park.
Vendors booths will be setup with refreshments, merchandise, youth and sports activity signups, hands-on crafts, booth activities for the kids, and lots more! Invite your friends and family and Register now and join us for this really fun family friendly event!

WHAT TO WEAR
Wear your Santee Aloha 5K T-shirt! This year’s shirt is a performance material perfect for running/walking.
Add your school colors and/or Hawaiian props to make it fun!
Be up by the stage about 7:30am when all those in fun costumes will be asked to show off to the crowd! Bragging rights and small prize for the two with the most spirited Aloha gear!

The first 500 finishers will receive a finisher medal.
We will be handing out Award medals around 8:40 am

8:00 AM – Wave 1 – Runners that run mile under 7 minutes start
8:01 AM – Wave 2 – Runners that run mile under 9 minutes start
8:02 AM – Wave 3 – Runners that run mile under 11 minutes start
8:03 AM – Wave 4 – Joggers start
8:04 AM – Wave 5 – Walkers and People with Strollers start
8:20 AM – Hula Dancers entertain you on stage
8:40 AM – Awards Announced!

PARKING
There is free parking available near the Start/Finish line at Town Center Community Park, 550 Park Center Drive in Santee and the YMCA parking lot. We encourage you to carpool, bike, or walk over too!
