Hello Participant,

The April 25th Santee Aloha 5K Fun Run and Walk is being officially canceled. As you know, the CDC and Governor Newsom have asked that large group activities not take place for the next eight weeks. We share in your disappointment in this cancellation, both because it is such a family, community, healthy and fun event and because it is one of the primary fundraisers for the Santee School District Foundation. Many expenses have already been incurred for this event that will now not take place.

Annual profits from the Aloha 5K support:
After school instrumental music program at every school ($40,000)
Arts Attack program – every month, all classes, all schools ($15,500)
Classroom grants ($25,000)

While refunds will be available for those that request it (less $6/registrant to cover our already expended costs), we are hoping, if your financial situation allows, that some of you choose to donate your registration, or a portion of your registration, in order to allow the Santee School District Foundation to support the above programs for the 2020-2021 school year. This cancellation means a big loss to the students in Santee.

Please email santeefoundation@gmail.com with the following by April 25 and let us know what you:

1. Refund my entire registration fee (less $6.00/registrant)

2. I’d like my refund, but please keep $10, $20, or $_________(insert an amount here you are comfortable with) to use towards 2020-21 programs

3. (Recommended) Please keep all my registration and use the funds towards the above 2020-2021 programs. In gratitude, if this option is selected, we are researching special offers we can provide for the 2021 Aloha 5K Fun Run and Walk.

Refund checks will be mailed to the address used during online registration.

If you registered as a family, please include the names of the people for which you are requesting refunds or donations.
